ABOUT AMORGOS

Amorgos is an unspoiled island located in the middle of the Aegean sea in the eastern part of the Cyclades. It is the island of the “Big Blue” of Luc Besson and has inspired a lot of artists all around the world with its pure and dramatic nature, the transparent blue water and the picturesque villages where people still keep alive the old traditions in everyday life.

It is an ideal destination for walking, as it has many paths. Amorgos also has many important Byzantine monuments such as the famous Monastery of Chozoviotissa near Chora and the Monastery of Theologos on the Krikelos mountain.
